Corporate wellness Assistance and advice on continued development of your company’s health programme
Catalyst is committed to working with clients for the long term. We believe that to achieve durable outcomes in employee health and wellness requires a consistent approach. Any programme should be measurable to allow for future targeted inventions. Catalyst can provide customised programmes and advice.
Recent research by PricewaterhouseCoopers shows that the return on investment (ROI) of improving the wellness of your workforce is three to one or more.
Catalyst owns the intellectual property (IP) for NZ Well@Work. This IP was developed by the Ministry of Health specifically to provide assistance for workplaces to setup their own workplace wellness programmes.
Catalyst will support you to develop a wellness strategy that works for your organisation. As part of that strategy we offer you:
- Support with policy development and evidence based research tools that benchmark your organisational health and wellness status.
- Wellness Days – these are great for staff retention and moral. Wellness checks can be completed at this time and your employees are provided with health information and are offered guidance and assistance on various health topics.
- Smoking cessation – most people who smoke want to quit. A survey by Ministry of Health in 2008 found tobacco use staff who smoke take more breaks, are absent more often and significantly impact on workforce productivity
- Cardio vascular disease (CVD) assessments - these assessments will measure your employees’ health using a variety of physical health risk indicators and is aligned to international best practice. CVD risk assessments are particularly important for employees in safety critical roles such as employees working in confined space, crane operators, employees working with heights and shift workers.
