Our people are passionate about what they do.

Catalyst has a national presence. Our services are supported by 27 dedicated staff based in Auckland, Napier, Wellington and Christchurch. 

Catalyst’s management team is comprised of:

Phillippa Greer - General Manager Operations
RN, PG Certificates in Occupational Health and Safety and Human Resource Management
Phillippa has over 20 years experience in health and safety and injury management with two large New Zealand private companies and ACC prior to commencing with Catalyst in 2010. Phillippa is also a registered nurse, with post graduate qualifications in health and safety and rehabilitation and human resource management.

Phillippa’s role at Catalyst is to manage the service delivery to our clients. Prior to this, as manager of the ACC Partnership Programme, she led the Accredited Employer Programme Operational review in 2008.

Sean Cross – Chief Information Officer
Bachelor of Engineering (Mech)
Sean started his career with CRM Group as IT Manager from 1994-2002.  In 2005 Sean rejoined Catalyst as Chief Information Officer. Sean is responsible for IT Strategy and direction, application and database development and supplier management at Catalyst. Sean has a broad range of technical expertise and experience and leads the development for Catalyst's own Claims Management System (CMS) and web-based application Pivotal.

Catalyst’s team of case managers and administration staff are led by two regional managers:

Carolyn Wagner – Manager Northern
Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies (Victoria University) and Diploma Anatomy & Physiology.  Post Graduate Diploma (Business Studies)
Carolyn started at Catalyst early 2012 and manages the Northern operations team. Carolyn has over 10 years experience in injury management and rehabilitation She is responsible for injury management service delivery to clients and the management of staff in the Northern area.

Carolyn has extensive knowledge of ACC legislation, Partnership Programme requirements and claim risk mitigation.

Yvonne Grieve – Manager Central and Southern
National Certificate in Adult Teaching specialising in legislative training, NZQA accredited
Yvonne started at Catalyst as a case manager in 2004 and was promoted to Manager in 2005. Yvonne has over 10 years experience in mediation and has an excellent knowledge and understanding of ACC legislation. She is responsible for injury management service delivery to clients and the management of staff in the central and southern area.

Yvonne has extensive knowledge of the, Partnership Programme requirements and claim risk mitigation.


Other key team members include:

Jane Gibbons – Occupational Health Consultant
RCPN, Cert OHN, Cert Health and Safety Management, Grad Dip Bus (Mktg)
Jane is our lead Occupational Health Nurse with over 22 years experience in occupational health, safety and training. Jane is a core member of our occupational health team. Jane is responsible for occupational health standards and service delivery.

Rachel Moon – Occupational Health Consultant
Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) and Post Graduate Diploma (Sports Medicine)
Rachel started at Catalyst as a case manager in 2010 and is now part of our occupational health team.  Rachel has over ten years experience in private practice physiotherapy and practice management. Rachel is responsible for business development and service delivery in the occupational health and safety area of the business. 

Leonie McCulloch – Lead - Business Support
NZQA Business and Administration
Leonie has over 20 years experience as a technical expert advisor on ACC legislation and entitlements and is a certified ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Trainer. Leonie is responsible for weekly compensation and compliance within the business.


Our team has, on average ten years injury management and health and safety experience. Some of our people have worked in this industry for over 20 years.

Our people come from a range of professions including health and safety, medical, occupational health, psychology, physiotherapy, science and business.
